calls from the playpen

This morning after sharing breakfast with my dad he sat me down in my playpen before proceeding to do the dishes in the kitchen. I know he said that he would only be gone for a little while but I still grow a bit lonely by myself... And that is why I decided to call Opa and Lola using Mommy's cell phone! Both Mommy and Daddy have always told me that their phones are a "no no" but in such a dire situation of utter abandonment (and the phone was within my reach) I needed to tell someone!

My first plastic playground tube!

This is a picture of Daddy and me inside a plastic playground tube at the playground close by to where we live! We're looking through the windows in order to see the older kids playing with each other by the monkey bars! I even went down a slide on Daddy's lap today!

My first shower!

So, after an extremely messy lunch I took a shower for the first time with Daddy! Before I had only had the experience of the little sprayer in the kitchen sink and maybe just a little of the showerhead in the bathroom, but not a standing-up-where-the-Mommy-and-Daddy-does shower!

home again

Mommy and I flew home last night. It was a terrible flight - my worst one yet! We left San Diego at bedtime (6:45 pm Pacific) and arrived in Minneapolis in the middle of the night (12:00 am Central)! I was SO wound up when we left and SO tired on the plane! Thankfully the people behind us were very nice! I continually greeted them with a big smile and a "hi" and they always smiled back!

Oh my goodness. The last week or so has been so exciting! Normally I hang out with Mommy and Daddy. Daddy feeds me breakfast and we play a little bit (alhtough I'm the one who does most of the playing...) and Mommy plays with me while Daddy is at work. Well, now there are four MORE people to entertain me!

The Aunties like to play with me after they go to school. Personally, I am of the opinion that school is an unnecessary evil that interferes with my schedule. However, these things cannot be helped...

Anyways, while the Aunties are away, my Lola hangs out with me. She's so funny because she laughs at everything I do! Heehee.

In the evening, Opa helps take care of me too.

The weather here is so much better than in sticky, humid Minnesota. We go on walks almost everyday. Lola likes to take me outside so I can watch Noor run around. It's so wonderful! I wish I could go that fast. Unfortunately I'm still "cruising" but that's a minor problem that will be fixed soon enough.
